Supporting Girls with Dignity: Monthly Sanitary Pad Distribution Initiative

Alive Foundation is proud to announce the launch of a new monthly support initiative aimed at helping young girls in our communities access essential sanitary products with dignity and care.

Thanks to the generosity of Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, we received a donation of 3,840 sanitary pads, which will be distributed monthly to:

  • Prestwich Street Primary School
  • SA Children’s Home / SA Kinderhuis
  • Isibindi Initiatives
  • Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck

Access to sanitary products remains a challenge for many young girls, often affecting their confidence, comfort, and even school attendance. Through this initiative, we hope to provide practical support while helping restore dignity and reducing one of the everyday barriers many learners face.

This project forms part of Alive Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting children and families not only educationally, but also through initiatives that address real day-to-day needs within our communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mount Nelson for their generous contribution and partnership in helping us make a meaningful impact.

This is only the beginning, and we look forward to continuing this initiative throughout the year — ensuring that more girls receive the support they need to thrive with confidence. 🧡
