Alive changing lives since 2012.

WE UPLIFT. WE MAKE CHANGE POSSIBLE.

The Alive Foundation came to be in 2012 due to a group of friends who wanted to uplift their community. Over the past 14 years with the help of our dedicated volunteers we have completed over 101 large projects, in central Cape Town, as well as surrounding areas in need. Our foundation aims at uplifting local schools and seniors in Cape Town including nursing homes, hospitals and orphanages. Alive strives to make a direct change in the lives of individuals, giving them the tools for a better future and with your help, we can make an even bigger change and a greater difference.

Urgent Projects at Prestwich Street Primary School

TWO PROJECTS. ONE SCHOOL. REAL IMPACT.

Clear Vision for Learning Project

Helping learners see the board, their books, and their future

We recently screened learners’ eyesight at Prestwich Street Primary School. Out of 93 learners screened, 63 children need proper glasses to be able to see clearly in class.

For many of these children, poor eyesight has gone unnoticed and has directly affected their ability to learn, focus, and participate in class. Glasses are not a luxury — they are a basic tool for education.

School Photos Project

Creating memories and supporting school records

For many learners at Prestwich Street Primary, school photos have not been taken in over a decade. This project provides individual and class photos for learners — giving them something to cherish, while also supporting the school with updated records for administration and the Department of Education.

These photos help children feel seen, valued, and proud of their school experience.

Status:Fully funded – thank you for making this possible!
