Sick Room Upgrade at Prestwich Street Primary

As part of Alive Foundation’s ongoing commitment to Prestwich Street Primary School, we recently completed an upgrade of the school’s sick room — a small but essential space where learners go when they are unwell during the school day.

What was once a tired and cluttered room has been transformed into a calmer, cleaner, and more welcoming environment. This space now offers learners a place of comfort, dignity, and care when they need to rest or recover at school.

The project was completed with the final installation of custom-made blinds in collaboration with Boston Blinds, helping create a more private, soothing and functional space for both learners and staff. These finishing touches play an important role in creating an environment that feels safe and considered.

While it may seem like a simple upgrade, spaces like the sick room matter deeply. For many children, school is where they spend most of their day — and when they feel unwell, they deserve to be cared for in a space that reflects compassion and respect.

This project forms part of Alive Foundation’s long-standing relationship with Prestwich Street Primary School, where we continue to focus on creating environments that support children not only academically, but emotionally and physically too.
