At Alive Foundation, we believe that small acts of care can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life.
Through our School Clothing Redistribution Programme, donated school uniforms and clothing are given a second life so that they can continue serving learners who need them most.
Recently, we received a generous donation of school clothing from Laerskool Jan van Riebeeck. Before these items could be redistributed, our team carefully removed school names, badges, and branding, ensuring that the garments could be worn by learners from other schools and communities. The clothing was then cleaned, sorted, and prepared for distribution.
As part of this process, 60 school tops were recently rebranded and distributed to children who can now benefit from warm, quality clothing for the school year ahead.
For many families, replacing school clothing can be a significant expense. By extending the life of these garments, we are able to help learners attend school with confidence, comfort, and dignity while also reducing unnecessary waste.
This project is a wonderful example of how one community’s generosity can directly benefit another. A school jersey that is no longer needed by one learner can become an important resource for another child.
